#ThaiCaveRescue: ‘4 Boys, Coach, reached Chamber three’

Al Jazeera’s Step Vaessen has reported all four boys and their coach have reached chamber three of the Tham Luang cave complex where rescue workers have set up a medical post. “They seem to have passed this whole dangerous tricky part and now are in chamber three,” Vaessen said.

A ninth person has been seen carried out of the cave on a stretcher, a witness has told Reuters news agency. CNN also reports a ninth boy has been rescued, citing a Thai navy official with direct knowledge of operational details.

Four boys and their 25-year-old coach are expected to all emerge from the cave today. Sources tell Aljazeera remaining five members of trapped Thai football team have arrived in chamber 3 meaning they have passed the most dangerous part of their journey out.

Al Jazeera’s Step Vaessen is reporting a tenth boy has emerged from the Tham Luang cave complex.

Reuters also reported a tenth person had been seen carried out on a stretcher, citing a witness.
Four members of a youth football team and their coach remain trapped in a cave in northern Thailand as rescuers enter the third day of an operation to extract them.

By Monday, eight boys had been pulled out and were transferred to a hospital in Chiang Rai, about 60km away from the cave complex, to receive treatment.
