SMEDAN inaugurates ‘HUB’ for MSMEs

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency Of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has inaugurated an Enterprise: Hub, an integrate network of on-line and physical resource center for emerging enterprises.

At the inauguration of the building in the Yaba College Of Technology Lagos, the Director General of SMEDAN, Dr Dikko Umaru Radda said the Enterprise hub, in collaboration with Global Entrepreneurship Network, GEN Nigeria and YabaTech would be a platform for growing sustainable and promotion of businesses across Africa and provision of operational work space and internet facilities for MSMEs.

Dr Umaru said GEN Nigeria was a strategic partner because it engages youths in entrepreneurial activities while connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and investors.

Chairman governing Board of SMEDAN, Mr Femi Pedro charged universities to do more of research and innovations while Chairperson GEN Nigeria Advisory Board, Hajia Aisha Abubakar said fifteen mentors were already on stand by for fifteen menteees.
