Minimum Wage: Gombe govt assures workers

Gombe state government has assured civil servants of implementing the minimum wage agreed between labour and the federal government.

The Gombe state Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Yakubu Abba Bajoga announced this at a seminar organized by the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria in Gombe.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Establishment, Alhaji Hamisu Hussaini, the Acting Head of Service who described the civil service as the engine room of government workforce stressed the need for it to be adequately motivated.

In a remark the Chairman Gombe state branch of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, Alhaji Isa Abubakar said the seminar was aimed at updating the knowledge of the participants on fundamental issues of policy formulation, management and good governance.
