Hauwa Muhammed Liman, a 24-year-old aid worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been killed by her abductors, the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP), NNN has learnt.
ISWAP, a breakaway faction of Boko haram had threatened to kill the aid worker who Leman was abducted in March, along with two other aide workers, Saifura Khorsa, who was killed on September 16 and Alice Loksha, a nurse working for the United Nations Children and Education Fund (UNICEF).
Meanwhile, Leah Sharibu, who was one of the students abducted from a Dapchi school in February is still being held by the group.
The killing of Leman comes after the expiration of the deadline given to the Federal Government by the terrorist organisation.
Her killing happened despite a last-minute appeal by the ICRC to the Nigerian Government and to the International communities on the release of two abducted medical workers
